Amy S. Hunter-Clark and her American Thoroughbred mare Seattle @ WEF in Wellington, FL 2006
                        Seattle

Seattle is a 17 hand 10 year old thoroughbred mare aptly named after her great-grandfather, triple crown winner Seattle Slew. Seattle was purchased as an un-touched 2 year old from a top thoroughbred breeder and entered into serious training at the age of 5. Seattle is a lovely mover, has a wonderful temperament, and steps over a 4' fence free jumping. Seattle has successfully campaigned through the schooling jumper division, winning championships @ Littlewood in Wellington, and most recently winning the 2007 Otter Creek Jumper Derby. Seattle will be bred to Cradilo in 2008.

Annie and her first foal by Cradilo, Krishna
Koganna (Annie)

Annie is a 5 year old mare by Kogan (imported Russian Akhal-Teke bred by Tito Pontecorvo) out of Porcia, a mare by the Westfalen stallion Puritano out of a thoroughbred mare, and was bred by Amy Hunter. Amy had Alex Beckwith's mare Porcia, and Kogan in training in California at the same time and bred the mare before her return home. Annie was purchased by Amy (as breeding stock) back from Alex last year.
Kogan successfully campaigned in the big jumpers in California with Suzie Hutchison, and represents what Tito considers to be one of his top produced Akhal-Teke jumpers (Tito Pontecorvo for years was the number one breeder and owner of the Akhal-Teke, owning up to 300 at one point world wide.) The Akhal-Teke is rare (only 2000 purebreds world wide) and an incredibly important foundation breed in that they had a huge impact on the creation of the thoroughbred. The Bryly Turk was an Akhal-Teke, and any Arab imported in to England that was called a Persion Arab was actually in fact an Akhal-Teke. The thoroughbred as we know it today would not exist with out this foundation breed.
The Akhal-Teke is arguably one of the oldest purebred breeds, with 17 distinct genetic lines (as opposed to the thoroughbred's 3), the horses are incredibly tough, and they tend to have the quiet temperament of an old school horse. They have long, light movement and can have a powerful jump. They also have extremely delicate features and the bonus of a coat that feels and shimmers like silk. Annie delivered the colt Zin Krishna, by Cradilo on June 21st, 2008 and will be bred back to Cradilo this year.

Red Charisma and colt Tzadi
           Red Charisma

Red Charisma "Charm" is a 16 hand 11 year old thoroughbred mare. She has easily free jumped up to 4'3" and has schooled 3'3" under saddle at home. She has also successfully competed locally in the green hunters. Though Charm's extreme athleticism, machine like endurance and tremendous soundness would allow her to be a serious upper level 3-Day horse, her ability to be quick while maintaining sanity gives her the added potential to be an excellent amateur jumper. In addition, her lovely, long elastic gaits and relatively quiet temperament make her an excellent dressage prospect. On June 1st, 2006 Charm had a lovely colt named Tzadi by Cradilo. On April 17th, 2008 Charm presented the weanling filly April, and she is currently bred back to Cradilo for a 2009 foal. Monday's Glory and Temujin Gage
                        Monday's Glory

Glory is a 10 year old 16 hand thoroughbred mare bred by Huntington Farms. Though Glory has received quite a bit of ground work and has been lightly backed she has never been in serious training. Despite this, Glory has shown tremendous jumping potential. She easily free jumps 4'3" with an extremely high and tight knee and wonderful bascule. We are very interested in her as breeding stock as her mother, Vennie, has proven to be a valuable brood mare and school/show horse and her sire, Honest Ensign (the same sire as Honest Fighter's), has proven to be capable of throwing excellent jumpers. On May 21st, 2007 Glory foaled Temujin Gage, a handsome colt by the Irish Sport Horse D'artagnan (now gelded, by Cruising out of a mare by Clover Hill mare).

June's First Star and Fatima
                        June's First Star

June's First Star is a 8 year old 16 hand thoroughbred mare bred by Huntington Farms. June is out of Makiki and by Honest Ensign. June has received a large amount of ground work and has been backed lightly. June has only been free jumped over a few feet, but she shows good potential. Her most striking characteristic however, is her puppy dog like temperament, her flawless, large bodied conformation and her lofty, ground covering movement. On May 20th, 2007 June had her first foal, a lovely filly named Fatima by Cradilo. June is currently bred back to Cradilo, and we are excitedly awaiting a May 2009 foal.

Sunday's Truce Jumping at Chicago Equifest 1 July of 2003
                          Sunday's Truce

Sunday's Truce "Truce" is a 16.1 hand 12 year old large bodied thoroughbred Gelding. He has been schooled over and comfortably handles a 4'3" oxer at home. He has succesfully competed up to 3'6", and has won 9 Championships and Reserve Championships at locally associated WWHSA shows as a hunter and jumper, and several ribbons at Chicago Equifest in the Equitation and Medal classes. He is a soft ride; quiet, adjustable and honest and possesses the valued and rare qualities of being both a true 'baby sitter' and a serious A Circuit winning competitor. Truce is currently being used as a school horse for HF students.

Vennie's Knightout and Sunday's Truce as foal
                        Vennie's Knightout

Vennie is a 16'1" hand 17 year old thoroughbred mare and was Huntington Farms first brood mare. We were instantly struck by her amazingly quiet temperament, light long movement and excellent use of her front end over jumps. Her breeding is excellent as she has 10 top stallions in her pedigree (back to five generations) including Man O' War, Rough n' Tumble, Round Table, Boldnesian and Hyperion. We have produced several wonderful foals by Vennie (Truce and Glory) and find her genetic influence on temperament and body to be extremely strong. Late in Vennie's life she seemed to be looking for more attention and we decided at the age of 11 to start her and see what we could accomplish. Because of a hock injury we weren't able to pursue a serious show career, but her dead quiet rideability and balance has led her to be a top beginner school horse.

Honest Fighter, 'Snickers' and Amy working in 3'6 jumpers @ Timeless, WI 2004
        Honest Fighter
***Snickers unexpectedly died the morning of June 10, 2006. Snickers was a magnificent, kind mare and a member of the family ... she will be deeply missed.***
